California Will Offer Financial Incentives to Reopen School Districts

Gov. Gavin Newsom of California unveiled a $2 billion plan on Wednesday aimed at getting elementary school students back in the classroom safely starting in February, creating incentives of at least $450 per student to a phased-in reopening of classrooms for those who want to return.
